Starting of as just a small group, forming from a coffee morning and craft afternoon. This little group then moved on to be the founding member of Warm Space based at Heyford Park.
As time moved on Tai Chi Chih classes where offered for a mimium fee and open to all to attend.  This has been a popular activity and has loads of regulars.
From the support offered by Cherwell District Council under Warm Spaces, the Heyford Park Community Hub was offically formed, with the aim of helping to combat social isolation at a low, or no cost, to promote better Mental Health, Wellness & Community Spirit.
Over time the drive of the team involved and the needs of the community have changed and Hub developed and is still developing.
Dorchester Group via Heyford Park Heritage have kindly offered us a home for our get together s – would say meetings but it sounds wrong,
Heyford Park Community Hub is within the heritage centre just off Camp Road, the building the other end of Sainsbury’s.
A safe, warm and friendly space for the community to enjoy.
Come and join us for a chat, crafting, bring a puzzle, a game or to just browse the memorabilia on show.
Free Hot Drinks & Biscuits etc with the possibility of a homemade cake 🍰
We would love to do more but keeping the costs to people who attend to a minimum if not low cost.
We have a small but growing network of contacts and where possible we would like to extend this network to be able to offer support to all attendees.
